Old town tour

We’d love to invite you to the captivating experience of the mecca of mediaeval history and architecture. Our 3 hours tour is guided by proper Prague born and raised grumpy Czechs in a constant state of schizophrenia between being proud of our home city and hating the mass tourism.

Join us, Petra and Michal, to avoid the dark side of Prague’s forces – all the tourist traps! We’ll passionately show you the world how beautiful it is while being grumpy and complaining about all the negative aspects of mass tourism.

Highlights of the Authentic Old Town Tour:

1. Astronomical Clock:

To be honest, no one knows how to read how all the dials, hands, arrows actually measure the time. But it’s still quite an impressive piece of machinery which tick and taks from times when for example printing press was not invented yet.

Let us explain what all its decorations and symbols mean and tell us the legend of how mediaeval “copyright laws” works to make sure the clockmaster will not create another piece for a different town.

2. Charles Bridge:

For almost 700 years this stone bridge connected not only the both sides of Prague but also put mediaeval Prague on the European map as an important trade route between the Eastern and Western part of Europe. A status which Czechia holds ever since.

Be amazed about the rich history, beautiful statues and legends connected with this icon of Gothic civil engineering.

3. Old Town Square:

Ahhh, that square which most locals avoid and go there only to attend protests and demonstrations? Just kidding. Old town square is deep in our hearts as Prague born and raised OG’s.

Give us a chance to show you the most important place in our history with all is’t historical, religious, political and cultural significance.

4. Jewish ghetto (Josefov):

A well preserved historical jewish quarter in a country which was annexed by Nazis even before WWII actually started? Well, as it sometimes goes, a will of fortune or maybe some other higher power makes the crazy failed painter with a moustache to preserve Prague as a museum of jewish culture.

Allow us to guide you through the best preserved complex of historical Jewish monuments in Europe which represents almost 1000 years of jewish community.

5. No more #hiddengems

Are you also tired of all those so-called hidden gems which every second travel Instagramer just miraculously explored while feeling as Christopher Columbus? Let us show you places that we learned to go to over decades of living in Prague.

Pause for a moment over a glass of czech beer on traditional cola-style soft drink Kofola and hear our typically czech grumpy complains about the other tourists:D
